1. Players are expected to create unique characters with unique traits. These characters when they enter the city have no knowledge of worldly events or the other individuals that reside within the city.
2. All of your actions should have meaning. No random acts or events that fall outside of your character's story.
3. Your character's interactions should primarily facilitate other peoples roleplay. Meaning it is the expectation to use words and player to player interaction primarily over other forceful means such as weapons.
⚪ The following are strictly prohibited and will result in steep punishment
1. Aggressive or disrespectful behaviors and actions.
2. Targeting, bullying, or toxic behavior.
3. Comments that do not promote a positive inclusive environment involving racism, sexism, homophobia, politics, suicide or self harm.
⚪ Meta gaming is defined as the use of information obtained outside of the game for use inside of the game, granting an unfair advantage.
1. Use of external communications like Discord / TeamSpeak must also be relayed in character for use in RP.
2. No discussions outside of the city should affect your in-city actions.
3. Viewing of “screenshots” or “recordings” (other players) should not result in character action if not obtained in roleplay.
4. Viewing of other players live streams while actively engaged in roleplay scenarios is prohibited.
5. Creating a character that is a relative to one of your other characters upon login (brother, sister, grandma, uncle, etc) is prohibited.
⚪ Players are never permitted to go Out of Character while in-game.
1. NEVER BREAK CHARACTER DURING ACTIVE SCENARIO.
2. Use of voice chat in game is strictly in character.
3. The use of /ooc chat should be an absolute minimum. General discussion is not permitted in OOC.
4. Notifications of game-breaking mechanics or actions affecting roleplay are proper uses of OOC chat. (character is invisible / car is bugged or glitched)
⚪ Power gaming is defined as forcing players down a single path with no other options within roleplay. Examples of this may be defined as…
1. Robbing players at a bank and forcing them to turn over all of their money.
2. Killing players who have complied with your demands.
3. Forcing players to perma-death.
4. Dropping unconscious players off in a location not accessible to emergency services.
1. Players may not "respawn" off of an active roleplay scene. The only time respawn may be utilized is when there is no active roleplay with no police or EMS able to respond to your scene.
2. Players will never be forced to roleplay the death of their character by another character. This would be powergaming.
3. Players who opt to perma death their character will be admitted to the hospital permanently. It is the expectation that the player then delete this character immediately and create an entirely new persona. Failure to delete your character or creating a character with the same persona as the previous one will be admined for failure to roleplay.
⚪ When in an active scene, disconnecting to avoid punishment is against the rules. Accidental crashes should be communicated via Discord/Teamspeak if unable to log back in. This includes:
1. F8 quit
2. Alt-F4
3. Pulling the plug on your router or computer
4. Throwing your computer out of the window
5. Deleting System 32
⚪ Once you have cleared the scene you may no longer re-inject yourself into that RP scenario. Clearing the scene is defined as traveling more than 1 block away from the immediate area and breaking line of sight from those involved without being followed or pursued. This includes:
1. Driving away or leaving the area of a scene.
2. Disconnecting and coming back with a different character
3. Constantly driving back and forth in front of a roleplay scene after abandoning the scene.
⚪ The following are strictly prohibited and will result in steep punishment.
1. Utilizing emotes for unintended game mechanics.
2. Use of any mechanics or systems to duplicate items.
3. Modifying game files to have unintended mechanics occur within the city.
4. Cheating to obtain items or money through “out-of-city means.”
5. Disconnecting in order to be revived again
6. Selling Police and EMS equipment.
1. Shooting, injuring or killing another player without proper means of roleplay.
2. Utilization of guns (or other lethal mechanics such as vehicles) versus words with no proper initiation. Example : You suck! pew pew pew There should be some conversation as buildup prior to lethal interactions.
3. No recognizable reason to reference for your players actions.
⚪ The following are strictly prohibited and will result in steep punishment.
1. Ramming your vehicle into other players or vehicles with no intent of roleplay.
1. Animals operating vehicles, utilizing weapons, or interacting with other characters in a sense that would not happen in real life.
2. Alien or other worldly creatures.
3. Failing to value your own life. You are expected to comply when facing force or violence. Also, if you are complying and in result get downed, that is against the rules.
1. Characters must have realistic names. No blatant sexual puns or unrealistic names, no political names.
2. No intentional cop-baiting or forcing cop interactions.
3. No stealing emergency service vehicles, Unless it in rp
4. No robbing or kidnapping of Law Enforcement or EMS. These individuals may be held up but not robbed.
5. No torture or suicide roleplay.
6. No forced sexual or rape scenarios.
7. Don’t just go around robbing players. This is unfun and makes you a punk. Don't be a fun sponge. Camping at locations with the intent to rob anyone who shows up will not be allowed.
8. Player reports should occur out of game. This is outlined below.
⚪ Player reports should primarily occur OUT OF GAME. This is to ensure that situations are able to be looked over and analyzed effectively by our Leadership team. The following reports should occur in game through use of /report…
1. Blatant RDM / VDM
2. Blatant OOC that is disrupting players' experience
3. Hacking
4. Reports of scuffed or broken player mechanics
⚪ Metagaming is a term used in role-playing games, which describes a player's use of real-life knowledge concerning the state of the game to determine their character's actions, when said character has no relevant knowledge or awareness under the circumstances. This can refer to plot information in the game such as secrets or events occurring away from the character, as well as facets of the game's mechanics such as abstract statistics or the precise limits of abilities. Metagaming is an example of "breaking character", as the character is making decisions based on information they couldn't know and thus would not make in reality.
⚪ Metagaming is considered unsporting or cheating in a competitive gaming context,[citation needed] and is generally poorly received as it subverts the emphasis of accurate character depiction based on in-game experiences and back-story that defines role-playing games. Outside of role-playing, metagaming simply refers to players using knowledge or understanding of external factors (such as community trends or coincidental events) to gain an advantage in competition.
⚪ Powergaming in text-based online environments such as MUSH, MUCK, MU*s and other role-playing (RP) games that emphasize role-play over acquiring levels or skills (as opposed to most MUDs), a player can be described as a power gamer if he or she presumes or declares that his or her own action against another player character is successful without giving the other player character the freedom to act on his own prerogative. They may also be a player who tries to force others to participate in role-playing they don't want to engage in. For instance, a player who unilaterally describes his character as doing something with (or to) another character that would usually require the other to play along — such as having a fight or a sexual encounter — is considered to be powergaming.
In such games, in which a sense of community and rapport between players is seen as crucial and conducive to the game's overall well-being, powergaming is generally regarded as extremely offensive behavior if it is not stated in the rules as being a bannable offense, which it is in the majority of text-based role-playing games. It is often seen as synonymous with twinking or godmoding.
1. You can't use anything you observe on the stream to benefit your character.
2. ou can't make clips or videos that will be used in character.
3. You can't provide the streamer with knowledge their character does not know through use of the streamers chat.
4. You cannot comb through streamers videos or vods looking for every single rule break or infraction to report them on.
1. You can't request in character information from your chat to develop in character actions.
2. You must purchase a "GOPRO" camera from the convenience store when you are streaming or recording. When you opt to have the recording of said RP device off, it must be flicked through a /me or the "GOPRO" must be removed from your person.
3. Police who engage in dangerous behavior will be requested to have their bodycam footage pulled only if present parties, in character, file a complaint or request to have said footage pulled.
4. You must follow server rules and regulations.
⚪ A gang must have a minimum of 1 leader and can have a maximum of 2.
⚪ No active recruitment may occur during the 3 day time period of war.
⚪ we highly suggest recording at ALL TIMES so if anything where to occur we could sort it EASILY in a ticket.
⚪ Criminal Groups may choose to develop alliances, but please consider how this will affect the server. Conflict is important to creating a valuable RP situation. Realistically, if you were a criminal or gang, you would be extremely careful and suspicious when selecting new recruits and partners for fear of being infiltrated by rivals or undercover cops.
⚪ Gang wars are required to lead to the loss of valuables or territory of some sorts, this prevents pointless wars
⚪ LAST BUT NOT LEAST HAVE FUN, DONT BE SALTY THIS IS RP.
⚪ Each gang leader is expected to make sure that their gang members are following server rule
➖ First Offense: All Gangs will receive a written warning of a rule break violation. (Any violation.)
➖ Second Offense: Strike 1 (No Action Taken, other than receiving the Strike.)
➖ Third Offense: Strike 2 (Loss of all gang perks and a 14 day suspension.)
➖ Fourth Offense: Disbandment (stop functioning, as a group 14 days.)
⚪ All strikes will reset to Strike 1 level after 60 days. If no other disciplinary is received after 75 days they will reset back to a warning level.
⚪ After 75 days the gang will be eligible for perks again. (When you reset to warning level.)
⚪ You (as a leader) should only be recruiting trustworthy people, and as such, they are YOUR responsibility, not ours.
⚪ While we reserve the right to suspend and/or disband your gang at any time, following the guidelines above a gang may be placed on suspension. During this suspension time, your gang is no longer allowed to affiliate with one another on a gang level for a duration of typically 2 weeks (also subject to a shorter or longer time as determined by the team). During suspension, the following applies:
1. No gang activity of any kind. This includes, but is not limited to, going into enemy turfs, selling drugs as a gang or retaliating as a gang.
1. No gang colors or representation. Color entails vehicles and clothing and/or face masks. Representation entails gang signs or yelling/tweeting your gang name in any context.
1. You are allowed to retaliate if another gang attacks you, however we will be watching the actions of the suspended gangs. If that sounds difficult, it’s meant to be.
1. Removal of all perks (features included with the in-game rosters) associated with your gang. Gangs will not automatically regain these perks after the 60 days are up, and it is based on Gang Management discretion and the activity levels of the Gang during this time.
1. Every gang must have a roster. A link will be provided to you. It is the responsibility of the leader(s) to make sure it is kept up to date
2. A gang must have a minimum of 1 leader and can have a maximum of 2.
3. ONLY those on the roster are allowed to partake in gang activity. Outsiders may not get involved. This goes for gang activity only. Not criminal activity.
4. Each Character can only be on ONE Roster at any time.
5. During a gang war, the rosters of any involved gangs will be locked and recruitment will be disallowed until the war is concluded.
6. Recruiting new members just before declaring a gang war or keeping alternate characters on your roster for use in gang wars as a means of circumventing a locked roster is strictly prohibited.
1. Something crucial within RP must happen between the two parties in order for a war to happen. A poor reason behind a war can lead to admin intervention.
2. Wars must be declared in discord in the #gang-leader channel at least 1 hour prior to the first attack occurring. Gangs are not required to accept wars, however, once the gang that declared the war makes their initial attack they must wait for the other gang to retaliate. The other gang has 72 hrs to Retaliate. If retaliation doesn’t happen, the gang war is over. At this point the 3 day cooldown begins.
3. A war can come to an end if a leader decides the reason for the war has been fulfilled and there is no motive in continuing. If an agreement can’t be made Gang Management may be consulted.
4. Both sides may introduce 1 ally to join in on the war. Allies must be made known and follow the same rules as the primary group. If allies are brought in it can only be one other gang not multiple members from other gangs. Each side may only have one group allied with them at any one time to keep numbers limited.
5. Gang wars will be restricted to the turf of either of the primary gangs in the war. This means you may not use the turf of your ally as an attack or defense target. Remember, your allies are only there as extra manpower for either attacking your rival’s turf or defending your own.
1. In order to easily identify any involved party of a gang war, all gangs will be required to select a gang war outfit upon receiving their whitelist that is known as gang colors. This is to act as the gang’s official uniform and all members will be required to wear it during a gang war.
2. All members of a gang will be required to wear their colors anytime their gang is actively involved in a gang war. This is to prevent other players from being able to circumvent a gang war by refusing to wear their uniform and present themselves as target while on turf.
3. Gang colors must be as close to uniform as possible. While we understand that the differences in the clothing available to male/female characters may make it difficult to achieve this, you should do your best to have both outfits mirror each other as closely as possible.
4. In the event that a gang’s allies are participating in a gang war, they will be required to wear the colors of their own gang.
5. If someone is wearing your Gang’s Colors, it is fine to inform them about what they are wearing, but it doesn’t give you a reason to press further, unless they escalate or are impersonating your gang.
